The position
As Product Owner you will play a key role in the m aintenance and continuous development of our Clinical Trial Management & Oversight System (Veeva Vault Clinical Suite). You will be driving a Development and Operations Team in accordance with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to effectively secure business needs for future effective and GCP compliant study management.
You will take workflows and document handling to a new level balancing the demands of the business here and now, while at the same time ensure our longer-term strategy is fulfilled. You will have a huge impact on utilising the full potential of a cloud-based IT system for clinical trial management, impacting also other IT systems supporting clinical development, clinical supplies and regulatory affairs.
Many internal and external stakeholders will rely on your business understanding and your ability to combine business needs with an IT platform. You will get the chance to work closely together with product managers, scrum masters and subject matter experts to understand the needs of the business, as well as with colleagues in Development IT who will handle the IT development.

The ideal candidate for this position have:
On a personal level we are looking for a positive and solution-oriented candidate with an interest in process optimization and IT system development. You must be open to work in ways that are different from what you are used to and be comfortable with challenging our current status quo and comfortable in taking hard decisions.
We expect you to take ownership, that you are structured and ensure an overview. You are comfortable with challenging and advising stakeholders and you can present complex matters in a clear and precise manner. Above all, you are proactive, have a strong drive and a desire to create real impact for the business.
It’s considered a plus if you have experience with Veeva Vault.
About the department
The position is based in the Clinical Operations System Transformation department within the Novo Nordisk Clinical Operations Centre of Expertise.
We are a team of +20 dedicated colleagues with a common goal to optimize ways of working and drive agile system transformation for clinical operations to successfully meet the future demands including optimising use of digital solutions.
We are working closely with our stakeholders in headquarters in Denmark and Bangalore, India, and with our affiliates worldwide to ensure simple and robust new processes and solutions that will benefit our business.

Key activities will include:
- Act as Product Owner for a scrum team working with development and maintenance of our Clinical Trial Management & Oversight System
- Keep overview of and prioritise upcoming activities, both Novo Nordisk planned as well as vendor specific activities
- Analyse requirements and work closely with clinical operations and counter parts as well as IT to implement prioritised activities
- Drive risk and impact assessment of new requirements (incl. securing right level of documentation)
- Define and drive operational roll-out, support and communication to end-users
- Challenge future needs and ways of working within the Clinical Trial Management & Oversight System
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position have:
- A higher education within a relevant field
- A strong background in trial management, e.g. as CRA or Trial Manager, and in-depth understanding of trial management process es
- A holistic approach with flair for distinguishing needs from nice, and you have an eye for simplifications
- Preferably experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner and is used to work in an environment where change is a constant.
