The position
As a Senior Clinical Data Scientist, you will be building clinical databases with data collected from clinical trials. You will also be a representative from data science when collaborating with stakeholders such as statisticians, medical writers, data managers and a team of clinical data scientists. In this role you will be responsible for planning and coordinating programming for a team of clinical data scientists and program statistical outputs yourselves. All activities will be performed in close collaboration with your biostatistics colleagues and stakeholders such as Data Management, Medical Writers and Medical Doctors – collaboration and stakeholder management skills are therefore important.
The position is based in Søborg (Greater Copenhagen area)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. within life science, computer science or a related area. You are expected to have at least 3 years of experience in programming and handling of databases. Experience of working with biological or clinical data either within research or development is considered advantageous. Analysis of clinical data is highly regulated, therefore good documentation skills are needed.
Furthermore, experience with python, SAS, basic CDISC, ADaM or R-programming language and data analysis within clinical development is preferable but not a requirement. Good collaboration and communication skills as well as planning and organizing skills are needed for the job.
About the department
The Biostatistics department is a part of the Data Science organization and consists of 250 statisticians and statistical programmers globally, of which approximately 200 are located within Denmark in Søborg and Aalborg. Biostatistics are organised in smaller departments within clinical therapeutic areas ensuring close collaboration with our stakeholders.
