About the department
You will join a department with the portfolio responsibility for early and late-stage development as well as lifecycle management of a range of projects within haemophilia and other rare bleeding disorders. The Project Director reports to the Portfolio Vice President who is heading up the department Rare Bleeding Disorders in Rare Disease & Advanced Therapies, Clinical Drug Development.
The position
As Project Director, we welcome a professional with strong project management skills and scientific acumen to lead a first-in-class project within haemophilia as head of the Global Project Team. In this position, you will chair the Global Project Team and will be the overall responsible for the project strategy, communication as well as planning and execution of all pharmaceutical development activities to progress the project.
You will have ample opportunities for personal and career development within project leadership and your interactions with multiple skills areas provides a unique learning opportunity. You will work in close collaboration with the Global Project Team representing the full value chain of pharmaceutical product development.
As the position has a global outreach, some international travel will be required.
Qualifications
You have a background and degree in science or medicine combined with experience within pharmaceutical development. The following qualifications are considered highly relevant:
As a professional, you are ambitious, driven and have excellent collaboration skills, combined with an ability to make decisions, and set direction. You can lead by example, and canpromote the Novo Nordisk way by being a role model by being accountable, ambitious, responsible, engaged with stakeholders, open and honest and ready for change. In addition, you have good coaching skills and an ability to support individuals to improve their current performance and future potential.
You have experience navigating a complex stakeholder landscape and you are willing to learn and embrace new ways of working as well as new ways of conducting clinical development. Experience with line management is an advantage to become successful in the position.

- Thorough business and R&D value chain understanding and experience from positions within the R&D value chain. One or more of these have included project/managerial responsibility.
- Successful experience from leading cross functional projects or teams.
- Highly structured and analytic mindset with strong process design and implementation capabilities.
- Highest proficiency in English (written and spoken).
