We are looking for a new colleague to join our R&D Compliance Centre of Expertise (CoE) where we excel in working with Data Privacy & Business Ethics to support our outstanding R&D organisation in Novo Nordisk.

About the department
R&D Compliance CoE is a new department consisting of dedicated data privacy and business ethics and compliance specialists with different educational backgrounds. We are placed in the R&D organisation, which we support and report to.
Our focus is on anchoring, further developing and sustaining a strong business & data ethics mindset across R&D. We are responsible for operationalising internal and external business ethics and data privacy requirements (e.g. the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and provide advice to the global R&D organisation on how to mitigate compliance risks. In addition, we have focus on building-up, enhancing & securing compliance competencies and drive compliance initiatives across the global R&D organisation.
It is embedded in the way we work to be proactive partners for our organisation. You need to be a good analyst and able to communicate in a precise and understandable manner to stakeholders at different levels.

The Job
As a Data Privacy Specialist you will have a board range of responsibilities across the organisation. You will engage with many different stakeholders and you will be able to work both, hands-on and at more strategic level. Examples of tasks are;

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a relevant master’s degree (e.g. within law, commercial law, IT, or science) and have minimum 5 years of experience within data privacy compliance (e.g GDPR) and/or digital/IT projects. Moreover, the ideal candidate has:

The Job
As a Data Privacy Specialist you will have a board range of responsibilities across the organisation. You will engage with many different stakeholders and you will be able to work both, hands-on and at more strategic level. Examples of tasks are;
- Provide advice and develop framework/guidance for our R&D organisation (focusing of the GDPR and other relevant regulations).
- Identify, assess, and mitigate personal data protection risks
- Drive Data Privacy compliance initiatives, implementation & coordination across business areas
- Develop training material, and ensure communication
- Review of data privacy requirements in countries outside the EU
- Conduct impact assessments
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders globally and interact with senior management in different business functions

Qualifications

- The ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new situations in a constantly changing environment.
- The ability to collaborate within the team and across different line of businesses
- The ability to positively contribute to the work environment, proven project and (change management) skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
- A global and pro-active mindset
- Is tech savvy and fluent in English
