About the area

You will join Clinical Digital Systems, part of a new unit called Digital Transformation, Clinical Drug Development, where we are dedicated to leverage cutting-edge digital technology, data and processes.

Novo Nordisk drives clinical trials in more than 55 countries worldwide and collaborate with 6,000+ sites at hospitals and clinics. Digitalisation is key if we want to succeed with this. Our purpose is to accelerate digitalisation to achieve our ambitious business targets in the global clinical operations process and provide new innovative medicines for patients living with severe chronic diseases.

We have solid experience in Clinical Drug Development, and we work closely with our stakeholders in headquarters in Denmark, Bangalore (India) and affiliates worldwide to ensure that our new processes are simple and robust.

The position

As the new People Leader, you will be a member of the newly created Clinical Digital Systems leadership team and lead a dedicated Line of Business team working on the digital solution for Risk Based Quality Management (RBQM) in an agile setting.

Together with the rest of the leadership team you will have a key focus on growing the organisation to deliver on the strategic aspiration and ensuring the long-term strategic competence needs of the area to support the development and growth of individual career paths.

Your focus will be to create guardrail and support for the teams and lead the development of agile behaviours and collaboration in the cross functional agile teams by coaching employees.

Your key responsibilities

  • Being part of the Clinical Digital Systems leadership team where you will help develop and drive the digital strategy and vision supporting the SVP and Development business strategy – working closely with Business Owners, Product Managers and key stakeholders in CDD, Development and IO/NAO CMR.
  • Supporting the team in the scaled agile set-up delivering large, digital infrastructure initiatives and digital systems
  • Grow overall capabilities and capacity, monitoring teams' performance by the performance of their products (the digital solution for RBQM) and impact on culture.
  • Support team in value articulation and benefit realisation (how do the digital products/systems help achieve our business objectives) and tracking of value creation
  • Attraction, onboarding and hiring, people development and motivation including coaching & mentoring

You will report to the Vice President of Clinical Digital Systems part of Digital Transformation, Clinical Drug Development and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, supporting the development and growth of 10-15 people primarily based in Søborg (DK).

Desired Qualifications

To thrive and succeed, we expect the new People leader to have the following qualifications:

  • You hold a master’s degree with minimum 6-8 years relevant experience
  • You have 3+ years of experience as a Team Leader, ideally with direct reports within Clinical Drug Development and/or digitalisation
  • You are motivated by people development and driving the strategic people agenda for the area
  • You have solid understanding of the value chain in pharma
  • You have 6+ years of experience in Clinical Drug Development, e.g., as a Trial Manager or Clinical Research Associate
  • Experience in using agile methodologies will be an advantage but we will ensure you get SAFe certified
  • You are fluent in English.
