Are you experienced within clinical trial operations and biobanking and at the same time eager to drive process optimisation of clinical trials? Then you might be one of our new Competency Development Specialists. We are seeking multi-skilled specialists with a core interest in our Biosamples collected for Future Research who will act as an essential point of contact for our scientists and trial teams.
The position
In this function you will collaborate closely with the trial teams in all aspects of biobanking of clinical samples such as Informed Consent creation, authority questions, ethical considerations, and sponsor oversight. You will also be the one point of contact for our scientists and assist them through all steps of the process to ensure full compliance with approvals, national/local regulations, and requirements, when the samples are to be used for research. Overall, you will act as biosample specialist through the life cycle of the sample from collection to research use.
You will contribute to the continuous optimisation of our biosample management processes and IT systems. You will be an active player in a cross-functional environment having daily interactions with many different stakeholders from all over Research & Development. Effective communication and information flow to key stakeholders are crucial, as well as facilitating knowledge sharing across the organisation. You are also expected to be proactive in leveraging insights into external collaborations and networks.
Your Qualifications
You have a master’s degree in pharmacy, medicine, science or similar and a strong command of written and spoken English. We are looking for somebody with experience within clinical operations, biobanks and research project applications to the Research Ethics Committees or a combination of some of these qualifications.
A strong insight into the value chain within a pharma company is also a plus, not a prerequisite, but it would be an advantage if you:

About the department
The position is based in the Clinical Operations Office within the Clinical Operations Centre of Expertise. We are a team of 16 dedicated colleagues working globally to facilitate process optimisation and competency building of our colleagues working with product development projects. You will be part of a dedicated team devoted to support the operational handling of biosamples collected in our clinical trials. As this is a newly established function, you will have the possibility to further shape the role.
