We are seeking a Vice President of Clinical Operations in Other Serious Chronic Diseases & Outcomes. You will through your leadership of a large Clinical Operations department and collaboration across functional areas in Novo Nordisk lead clinical trial activities for a range of our future products and to influence and drive strategic initiatives leading to a future ready Clinical Operations organisation. About the Other Serious Chronic diseases & Outcomes (OSCD)
Within the area we are 140 colleagues in medical, clinical operations and project management related functions. We are responsible for driving our expanding development portfolio within cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney disease and Alzheizer’s Disease including executing large outcome trials.
We are part of the Clinical Drug Development under our Development organisation and located in the Copenhagen area in Denmark. The position
As our new VP of Clinical Operations, you will be responsible for an area of 5 individual departments each headed by a Director. In total, the VP area consists of approximately 70 colleagues, working mainly out of VTA in Søborg, Denmark. Our team members are key and our most important focus. Therefore, you have great attention to people development, attracting thought-diverse talents, and motivating and engaging your teams to perform and thrive. You are responsible for ensuring efficient planning and operationalisation of development programs in the OSCD portfolio, with key trial activities from phase 1 to phase 4 – including Real-World Evidence activities, virtual and decentralised trials, and non-interventional studies. Further, you are expected to identify and lead functional and strategic changes and initiatives in close collaboration with the OSCD Leadership Team. You have the opportunity and responsibility to influence and impact the future of the global Clinical Operations in Novo Nordisk. You engage through internal and external collaborations and partnerships, bring innovation and new ideas on trial conduct to the table and you lead and implement solutions with a sustainable and quality-focused mind-set. You will join the OSCD Leadership Team with representatives across Project Management, Medical & Science and Clinical Operations. We have flexible working options which also includes the possibility of working from home e.g., 2 days a week. Travel activities are expected to constitute 4-6 travels annually of a few days each. We welcome international applicants and will be able to offer relocation support if needed. Qualifications
• You hold a M.Sc within life science
• Extensive leadership experience within pharmaceutical clinical development
• Proven track record in setting direction and creating business results with organisational impact
• Proven track record of driving complex change and inspiring collaboration across professional fields and agendas We are looking for a visionary colleague with an innovative mindset who can transform ideas into actions.
