Do you want to work in one of the most exciting areas of the pharmaceutical value chain and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives by supporting education for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)? We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Lead for Independent Medical Education (IME) Grants. The primary responsibility in this role involves leading the strategic direction of the function, along with driving the entire grant management lifecycle – from receiving proposals from external vendors to evaluating the performance of the supported activities. The position As our new Lead for IME Grants, you will be responsible for: Setting the strategic direction for Independent Medical Education in Novo Nordisk Leading the review of grant applications for strategic alignment in line with the medical education strategies Assessing the potential impact of grant applications Ensuring compliance with internal/external regulations and oversee the contracting process Interacting directly with external requestors and internal colleagues to make support recommendations Coordinating the communication activities aimed at increasing the awareness of available medical education programs internally You will also be monitoring the quality and impact of the supported programs. This involves developing reports on IME outcomes, analysing the insight, and effectively communicating these achievements to internal stakeholders. Given the nature of the role, our new Lead for IME Grants will regularly interact with multiple stakeholders at HQ and global levels, as well as with external partners. Furthermore, you will take part in the development of medical education strategies in each therapeutic area, and ensure the strategy is executed by supporting the selection of the most impactful grants. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support projects within the therapeutic area(s), aimed to strengthening competencies both at HQ and affiliate level. Finally, you will take a leading role in researching and analysing current and upcoming trends in the landscape of (independent) medical education. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is interested, first and foremost, in making a difference for patients living with the diseases we research by funding impactful IME programmes. Apart from that, you possess: A Master’s degree in a relevant field combined with 5+ years of strong project management experience in cross-functional projects Hands-on practice in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or with a communications agency or education provider, would be beneficial Experience within medical education, particularly in CME (continuing medical education), principles of adult and clinical learning, and outcomes methodology, is preferred Ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms for the collection, review, and communication of medical education grants Good knowledge of data and information visualization would be beneficial, but not required Fluency in oral and written English On a personal level, we are looking for someone who is eager to collaborate with different stakeholders and have a service-minded approach while being an excellent and convincing communicator. You are excited by the possibility of working with a lot of independence, while taking the responsibility to set direction within your field, align across functions and keep an overview of the state of progress and prioritize accordingly. Your strategic approach and attention to detail further contribute to your effectiveness in the role. Finally, you bring a can-do attitude, a collaborative mindset, and a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on.
