The position As Director in Clinical Operations, you will head up a department of approx. 15 talents responsible for planning and conducting clinical trials within our expanding portfolio for CKAD. You may be a member of one or more Global Project Teams representing Clinical Operations and being accountable for delivering clinical trials through the operational strategy. Your key responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop an engaged and skilled team of Clinical Project and Operations Leaders, Global Trial Managers, and Global Clinical Trial Administrators.
  • Global coordination of several global clinical trials within one or more development programmes.
  • Planning and allocation of the needed resources for a given trial within the clinical programme.
  • Ensure competency development and performance management by coaching and guiding your team members, setting expectations, and leading the team to success.
  • Lead the implementation of the Clinical Drug Development strategy, proactively ensure relevant change management activities and role model the Novo Nordisk Way.
  • Drive and support change initiatives.
  • As Director within Clinical Operations, you will also be an active member of the ClinOps Leadership Team. We are open to offering remote work (EU time zone) or relocation for the right candidate. Qualifications
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science.
  • At least 5 years of experience in drug development in the pharma industry and solid understanding of the drug development space is a must.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with line management combined with the ability to inspire and motivate a team using an organized and structured approach.
  • Background with cross-organisational and global work to collaborate in a project-driven matrix organisation.
  • Innovative mindset, digital curiosity, and change management skills to navigate organisational transformations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, resolve issues and improve efficiencies through cross functional collaboration.
  • Proficient written and oral English.

About the department Clinical Operations Cardiovascular, Kidney, and Alzheimer´s Disease consists of around 110 employees organised in 6 departments which are responsible for clinical development activities. We have studies in various phases from 1-4, Non-Interventional Studies, and Disease Area Studies which are all part of the overall Project Development Plan. Our trials have a strong patient focus which is ensured by actively engaging with patients, patient organisations, study nurses, and everyday medical experts in the clinical field. We use advanced innovative trial designs, with modern digital and decentralised ways to collect clinical data.
