Looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and decentralized clinical trial elements? Then, this is your chance to join Novo Nordisk as a Lead Medical Project Manager in the Scientific Excellence team within the Medical & Science Centre of Expertise (M&S CoE).
The position As a Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for driving cross-portfolio projects in close collaboration with scientific leads and other functions in the Clinical Drug Development area. Additionally, contribute to the development and implementation of our decentralised clinical trial (DCT) strategies that incorporate DCT elements and digital endpoints in clinical trials and work within a broad range of disease areas to increase the design flexibility for global development programs. Other key responsibilities: Provide guidance and support to the medical teams within DCT and digital endpoints and contribute to high-quality clinical development plans. Participate in strategic discussions at the project level alongside project owners and scientific leads. Collaborate with regulatory affairs and legal teams to ensure compliance with the latest recommendations, guidelines, and regulations. Join in subject expert groups to advance innovative trial design, eSource, and DCTs and contribute to competency development for medical specialists and clinical pharmacology specialists. Monitor the external landscape to identify new trends and opportunities for innovation. Secure key stakeholder management, project oversight, and timely communication of progress to stakeholders, coordination of meetings, and preparation of presentations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate peers by assuming an informal leadership position, while managing internal and external key collaborators, including vendor management activities and Novo Nordisk affiliates. Qualifications
While education as a Medical Doctor is preferred, we are also open to considering a master’s degree in natural or life sciences with: A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical drug development OR background in clinical operations from pharma, biotech, or clinical research organisation. Experience with the use of decentralised elements and/or digital endpoints. An innovative mindset and a passion for advancing new technologies and methodologies in clinical trial design and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Strong project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. As a person, you are self-driven and initiative-taking with the ability to set direction and enjoy working in a setting with a high level of complexity. You possess excellent written and visual communication skills. We value curiosity, empathy, and a good sense of humor.

M&S CoE is part of Novo Nordisk's Clinical Drug Development team. Our goal is to connect the M&S organization and drive scientifically sound medical deliverables across the Novo Nordisk project portfolio. We operate with a portfolio mindset, supporting the overall strategy through cross-project initiatives and academic partnerships to benefit people. Together with the projects, we ensure high scientific standards and facilitate innovation in clinical trials. The M&S CoE also facilitates onboarding and competency development for medical specialists and clinical pharmacology personnel. Our Scientific Excellence team comprises 8 colleagues with diverse backgrounds, allowing for productive discussions and feedback. We prioritize patient needs and cross-functional collaboration in an inspiring and informal work environment. Personal growth and development are integral parts of our team culture. The workplace is situated in Søborg, Denmark (near Copenhagen). We have flexible working options which also include the possibility of working from home some days during the week.
