The position You will report to the Vice President of Clinical Operations and head up a department of approx. 15 employees responsible for planning and conducting clinical trials within our expanding portfolio. Additionally, be a member of one or more Global Taks Force Teams representing Clinical Operations and being accountable for delivering clinical trials through the operational strategy. Your key responsibilities: Lead and develop an engaged and skilled team of Clinical Project and Operations Leaders, Global Trial Managers, and Global Clinical Trial Administrators. Global coordination of several global clinical trials within one or more development programmes. Planning and allocation of the needed resources for a given trial within the clinical programme. Ensure competency development and performance management by coaching and guiding your team members, setting expectations, and leading the team to success. Lead the implementation of the Clinical Drug Development strategy, proactively ensure relevant change management activities and role model the Novo Nordisk Way. Qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science. Strong experience in clinical drug development from pharma or biotech industry, preferably with a track record working in the operational aspects of planning and conducting global clinical trials. 3-5 years’ experience with line management or project leadership combined with the ability to inspire and motivate a team using an organized and structured approach. Background with cross-organisational and global work to collaborate in a project-driven matrix organisation. Innovative mindset, digital curiosity, and change management skills to navigate organisational transformations. Proficient written and oral English. On a personal level, you thrive in an international, diverse, and complex environment. You are passionate about developing and leading people and demonstrate leadership qualities. You display excellent collaboration and communication skills and evident commitment to create winning teams with focus on continuous people development. You will help us deliver innovative medicines and drive improved patient outcomes, as you take on the overall responsibility for the planning and execution of global clinical trials.
