The position As International Project Statistician, you will be responsible for driving the statistical strategy for a number of both early late clinical projects within Rare blood disorders area. The key responsibilities include:
  • Take active part in the scientific and strategic planning and evaluation of the project
  • Proactively engage in scientific discussions and recommendations regarding innovative clinical trial designs, relevant data and endpoints, sample size considerations
  • Instrumental in planning the development of a drug, designing clinical trials and interpreting the results of the clinical trials carried out in the project
  • Responsible for shaping and driving the statistical content and quality of deliverables
  • Prepare and drive for submission to regulatory authorities
  • Represents Novo Nordisk regarding statistics in meetings and inspections with regulatory authorities
  • Informal leadership of the team of statisticians working on the project, serving as mentor and inspiration
  • Drive knowledge sharing across project areas
  • In your daily work, you will collaborate with specialists within e.g. medical and science, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, market access etc. It is therefore important that you clearly communicate statistical concepts and ideas to all our stakeholders including senior leadership. Within Biostatistics you will be working closely with the International Lead Programmer and Biostatistics Director on planning, prioritize and managing the biostatistical deliverables and milestones on the projects. Qualifications The ideal candidate should have:
  • Strong background in mathematics and statistics corresponding to PhD
  • +7 years of clinical trials experience within pharmaceutical industry or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of biostatistical methods and knowledge specialist of drug development
  • Experience in project management, team collaboration and supervision of colleagues
  • Experience with SAS, R or other programming languages
  • On a personal level, you are independent, open, curious, and solution-oriented.
