Medical Doctor - Clinical Drug Development in Diabetes Are you passionate about clinical drug development? Apply now for a life-changing career! The position As our new colleague, you will be involved in a great variety of tasks at a senior level in close collaboration with many other skill areas. Your main role will be to support the clinical development strategy including the design, planning and drive and execute activities within the diabetes therapeutic area strategy as well as being a key player in regulatory interactions. You are expected to work in close collaboration with many other skill areas such as trial management, biostatistics, global safety, and regulatory affairs. Additionally, have interactions on a global level with colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory authorities, treating HCPs, and therapeutic experts. The role included some travelling activity of approximately 10 days per year. The workplace will be our office buildings just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, but we offer a mobility package for new colleagues relocating to Denmark. Qualifications We are looking for a talented Medical Doctor, experienced in drug development from early drug discovery through life cycle management. The right candidate thrives both in a dynamic environment with many stakeholders across the organisation as well as in a team of other medical specialist supporting our current pipeline. To thrive and succeed, we expect you to be:
  • A Medical Doctor
  • Have clinical drug development experience and documented scientific merits such as a PhD degree or equivalent, preferably within diabetes or endocrinology
  • Experience as (co)-investigator in randomized clinical trials is a plus
  • Fluency in written and oral English
  • As a person, you have excellent collaboration and communication skills, thrive in a setting with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities. About the department In Medical & Science, Clinical Drug Development, we are responsible for delivering state of the art medical and scientific input to clinical drug development plans from first human dose trials through to large clinical development programs aiming for product approval and market introduction. The projects are anchored in the Medical & Science Diabetes department which covers both insulins, incretins and other projects. We are a team of skilled medical doctors and clinical pharmacologists working with projects covering clinical drug development of treatments for diabetes ranging from preclinical assessment through Phase 1-4.
