We are searching for several new passionate colleagues to drive a clinical development program and take charge of supporting the medical strategic direction within Diabetes. As a Medical Specialist at the core of Novo Nordisk, you will contribute to the development of innovative diabetes therapies, lead pivotal clinical trials, ensure the safety of our medicines, and participate in the drug submission and approval processes with global health authorities. Additionally, you will be tasked with sharing new scientific insights with physicians and leading researchers worldwide. Overall, medical specialists at Novo Nordisk play an essential role in various stages of clinical drug development.
In this role, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, with decisions that have a significant business impact. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within Novo Nordisk's global organization and across numerous countries worldwide.
The position is based in Søborg, Denmark. Your presence at the office will be required, so you need to be either based in Denmark or willing to relocate to Denmark. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we require: An MD degree, preferably accompanied by a PhD or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of documented clinical and/or scientific expertise, with a preference for experience within diabetes or metabolism. Additionally, it is desirable if you meet the following criteria: Experience in strategic and scientific planning within clinical development in the pharmaceutical industry. In-depth knowledge of the drug development life cycle and practical experience with regulatory authorities/scientific advisory meetings. International experience with cross-functional and/or cross-national teams, and management thereof is preferable. Essential to your success in this role is a strong analytical mindset, effective communication and training skills, flexibility, open-mindedness, and a dedicated team-player mentality. You will be expected to thrive in an informal leadership role within a global environment characterized by continuous and rapid development, with a steadfast focus on high quality and results.

In Medical & Science Diabetes, we are responsible for the planning and execution of global clinical trials and for medical and scientific support to health authority interactions within the Diabetes portfolio. We are instrumental in providing documentation and interpretation of clinical data leading to New Drug Applications (NDAs) and variation applications, periodic safety updates on marketed drugs, and drugs in clinical development, market access and external scientific communication. The department is based in a project-centric organisation, where we work in cross-functional teams with many different stakeholders and skill types.
