European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and/or divestment of assets. Our company of over 270 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 24 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in Sweden, the UK, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. The Business Development function creates and drives the company’s strategic agenda in close collaboration with the management team. The projects are characterized by being of high strategic importance, spanning across the organisation with internal as well as external stakeholders and having a high level of complexity.
You will be part of developing and defining the overall strategic direction of the company, which includes evaluating markets, technologies and potential partnerships as well as defining strategic projects to be executed on. You will be driving strategic projects with the overall aim of fueling our growth, optimizing operations and ensuring we are up to date with the enormous growth we are undergoing.
As European Energy has recently entered downstream activities such as PtX and heat pumps, you will also be part of and possibly drive the effort to define the strategic direction in order to execute on the ambitious plans.
Finally, there will be amble opportunities to support in more operational aspects of the actual project development and construction.
We seek a team-oriented, yet independent person, with strong structural skills, as you will be working in a high-paced and multidisciplinary environment. You are able to combine strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of how to manage stakeholders in order to drive implementation of strategically important projects. You enjoy exposure to top management and are motivated by driving change.

Areas of responsibilities
- Take part in developing and defining the overall strategic direction of the company
- Evaluate markets, technologies and potential partnerships
- Drive strategic projects with the aim of optimizing operations
- Define the strategic direction of downstream activities such as PtX and heat pumps
- Support in operational aspects of the project development and construction pipeline
Professional skills we expect from you
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or similar with top grades
- Professionally, you have acquired a strong strategic toolbox from 2-4 years’ experience at a top-tier management consulting company and/or corporate strategy department
- Strong experience from project management or having driven work streams independently in projects. Experience from renewables is an advantage but not a must
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, strong drive and an ability to drive implementation across a diverse organisation
- You have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and master English at a professional level
