Finance Business Partner - Sales & Portfolio


Develop, implement and drive Integrated Business Planning in a global leading manufacturing company

With strong Portfolio & Sales knowledge alongside analytical skills and structured way of working, you are able to understand interdependencies, connect relevant dots and identify relevant risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities as input to the Integrated Business Planning process. You show continuous curiosity to learn about the business and its drivers within and beyond your area of scope and implement your learnings to improve the Integrated Business Planning process, content and results. You manage to perform in a constant changing environment, and you are able to mobilize people for business performance improvement purposes.

About the job

As Financial Business Partner - Sales & Portfolio you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of Integrated Business Planning (IBP). You collaborate within a matrix organization with Demand Planning, Commercial Execution, Head of FP&A Sales, BU Controllers, and Product Management as main stakeholders to derive holistic analysis & overview from sales/commercial side to support the reconciliation & IBP Executive Management Team (EMT) reviews. Your tasks will include:

  • Supporting IBP activities through identification of gaps/opportunities that influences downward flow interdependencies and create a holistic financial impact analysis.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to derive & create analysis and insights that highlight risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities that impact the outlook of the business performance from a Sales & Portfolio perspective.
  • Design reconciliation & IBP EMT review material to highlight key focus areas and insights alongside a clear set of required actions.
  • Monitor & challenge Sales/Commercial strategic deliverables development.
  • Create alignment between Demand Planning and Revenue Forecast through governance between demand planning and FP&A sales teams.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales/portfolio actions coming out of the reconciliation reviews/IBP EMT reviews & ensuring that impacts from these actions are captured in relevant demand cycles as well as financial forecasting.

You report into the FP&A Supply Chain organization.

Finance Business Partner with strong IBP as well as Sales & Portfolio experience

You probably hold a Bac. or Master’s degree in Economics as well as some years’ experience working with IBP and Sales & Portfolio related work in an international manufacturing company or as Management Consultant in an acknowledged consultancy firm. Further you possess the following skills and personal traits – you:

  • Are data driven, analytical, structured and have strong business acumen
  • Think holistically and you are great at cross functional team work
  • Have strong communication as well as interpersonal skills
