ELSTEEL is looking for a dynamic and result oriented Business Development Manager responsible for global growth through a team of six regional Sales Managers.
Reporting to the Managing Director your main focus will be on strategic leadership, develop new markets and increase visibility of ELSTEEL through marketing initiatives. Your main responsibilities will be:
ELSTEEL is looking for a dynamic and result oriented Business Development Manager responsible for global growth through a team of six regional Sales Managers.
Sales and marketing
• Develop, plan and execute business plan and strategy for sales and marketing in order to ensure the group sales targets.
• Achieve pre-defined international sales targets.
• Design, implement and execute international sales and marketing programs.
• Manage exhibitions and trade fairs.
• Get Elsteel specified in heavy industry projects and sectors. Oil and gas, Marine, Transport, Underground etc.
• Provide accurate, competitive pricing on products submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain profit targets.
• Negotiate distributor and customer agreements.
• Build a solid direct and dealer international sales pipeline and develop opportunities
Management
• Manage the Sales team in order for them to reach their targets.
• Responsible for making processes to optimize the global customer service and implement in cooperation with the local General Manager.
• Work closely with the Production, Customer Service and R&D teams to ensure customer requirements are met on a timely basis.
Your personal and professional skills:
• Relevant commercial international experience in a technical environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability and desire to manage, inspire and professionalize a global sales organisation.
• Must be technically strong especially within electrical areas, especially low voltage panel boards.
• Experience in setting and following strategies, KPI’s etc.
• Education within technical area combined with an MBA or similar.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• +120 travelling days per year is to be expected.
You will report directly to the Managing Director who is based in Sri Lanka.
