User Research Moderator Internship to Nordisk Games - fall semester 2021

At Nordisk Games we are looking for two User Research Moderator interns to help our video games user research team at Nordisk Film headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. You will be part of the Nordisk Games team during the upcoming semester.

Nordisk Games part of Egmont
Nordisk Games is a part of Egmont, one of the largest media companies in the Nordics. Egmont has activities in 30 countries and employ approximately 6,600 employees. Responsibilities
The Moderator is responsible with helping the Lab Coordinator and User Researcher with study tasks during preparation, moderating the study, and help analyze data for reports.

  • Help the Lab Coordinator book participants for studies by calling to confirm the participants’ profiles and schedules.
  • Play the video game build or check the study content in preparation for the study (playtest).
  • Prepare the lab stations with video game build, recording devices, surveys, and other tools.
  • Help the User Researcher moderate studies by taking notes and making sure the participants are comfortable.
  • Help the User Researcher write the reports by analyzing the data collected (survey responses, observation notes, interviews) from the study (playtest).

Qualifications:

  • You have a good knowledge of the video games industry (Console, PC, Mobile).
  • You have a passion for video games and play video games on a regular basis across a wide variety of genres.
  • You play video games on PC, PlayStation 4/5, and/or Xbox One/S/X.
  • Good communication skills, especially with public speaking.
  • You can adapt quickly to change, and you are proactive.
  • You can work in Microsoft office (mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook).
  • You are familiar with streaming applications such as OBS or similar.
  • You are familiar with the application Discord.

Educational requirement:

  • We only accept interns currently enrolled in a University and able to participate in an internship the coming semester, as part of a project, course or other official educational activity. To put it another way: We only accept interns who can get ECST (or similar) points for the internship. Please include this in your cover letter
  • A bonus is attending University in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Social Science, or video game related.
  • If you have an internal deadline for finding a intern position, please include that in your application.

Language:

  • Fluent English & Danish, both written & verbal
  • The working language on the team is English & Danish
  • Application must be in English

Location & Work Hours:
The position is mainly located in Nordisk Games headquarters at Nordisk Film, Mosedalvej 14, 2500 Valby, Denmark. Workhours are flexible, Monday-Friday. You might be required to work evenings and some weekends depending on when participants can come in for a study, but it is rare studies take place off typical work hours. We are flexible if you have a part time job, need to attend classes, or University activities.
