We are looking for a commercially strong and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) with excellent communication and personal skills to help us deliver on our ambitious strategy. This position will have significant impact on the future of Fertin as we continue our growth journey into new categories within both pharma- and nutraceuticals with existing as well as new customers.

The BDM will be part of Fertin’s business development team, where everyone is managing his or her own portfolio of customers and prospects. Therefore, to succeed in this role, the BDM must master all aspects of the business development process from identifying and generating leads, over project scoping and business case building, to negotiating contracts as well as account management. The BDM must be capable of communicating with all organizational levels internally and externally. A positive, energetic and winning attitude is critical to succeed in this job as well as strong business acumen and profound understanding of the importance of team-work as you will have many touch points across the organization. Travel days 25-50. You will report to the Business Development Director.

Main Responsibilities:
The role requires a high sense of quality and a challenger driven mind-set to drive customerexcellence from idea to commercialization. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Identify, analyze, and build relationships with existing and new potential customers
  • Identify opportunities with existing and new customers and evaluate these for fit with Fertin’s strategy
  • Prepare and present business cases incl. financial modelling and recommendations to management through Fertin’s stage gate process
  • Working closely together with your colleagues in marketing and R&D to ensure a flawless customer experience
  • Lead negotiation of new product development, supply and license agreements
  • Following signing of supply agreements, continue developing the business with the customer as account manager

Required Experience & competencies:
Your background will include a relevant university degree and 5+ year of international business development in a regulated environment with large BtB, global customers, and you have a strong track record in generating new business. Experience within the Consumer Health industry, e.g VMS and or OTC, is a clear advantage.

A successful candidate is customer focused, has an entrepreneurial & energetic mindset and is analytically strong combined with experience in strategic value selling

Additionally, the position requires the following personal qualities: You are a team player, self-motivated, result-oriented, persistent, and you are a disciplined and structured executer with strong communication skills. You are analytically strong, good with numbers and take responsibility of your area. You must be able to speak and write fluently in English.
