Can you develop our new markets and Kvik Asia?

Kvik is on an international growth journey - do you want to take part in this journey, then keep on reading. In order to meet Kvik's rapid growth and ambition to expand in many new markets in the coming years, we are in the process of a major transformation of our working methods.

We are therefore looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for Kvik in Vildbjerg, who will own and build up a number of new stores in new markets and at the same time be responsible for Kvik Asia. You will be operating and managing the entire value chain from markets research, building the strategy, recruiting new franchisees and training them. The Business Development Manager will act as business unit responsible for the specific business area Kvik Asia and he or she will have own P/L responsibility. The candidate’s main purpose is to build and develop the sales through existing and new stores. The ideal candidate has experience and a proven track record from dealing with retail businesses and he or she understands the critical success factors in retail. The candidate is capable of motivating and leading teams as well as the teams in the franchised store network.

You are outgoing with the ability to establish good relationships both internally and externally. You understand the unique challenge of leading a franchise network with individual entrepreneurs and you have a positive and winning “can do” attitude.

You are capable of communicating complicated messages in a simple and comprehensive manner, combined with the courage to lead. You focus on success for the business rather than personal ambitions and you encourage teamwork and build a positive environment in the workplace. You communicate in a direct manner, directly and easily in both Danish and English.

Your responsibilities;

For new markets and Kvik Asia you will be P/L responsible for own business area, fulfil sales budgets and ensure profitable growth. You will be the key driver, with support from our existing team in Kvik, in developing a strong store network in new markets with professional franchisees and high performing sales teams, which cooperates well across functions. It is crucial that you can drive and monitor the execution of the expansion plan in order to achieve the set objectives and KPI's.

New markets

In close cooperation with Kvik's Int. Market Development Director, the Business Development Manager will play an active role in building distribution in new markets. The new distribution will be a combination of opening new stores as well as expanding the use of our new and innovative concept Kvik Home – which is based on selling in customer’s homes and not via a store:

  • Responsible for analysing and market research in new markets and countries
  • Build and implement “go-to-market” strategy for new markets
  • Build strong business cases for new markets and franchisees
  • Recruiting and training of new franchisees
  • Leading and coordinating internal project organization in a structured process – when going to a new market

Kvik Asia

The Business Development Manager is also given the account responsibility for Kvik Asia, where the business developer will work very closely with the master franchisee in building and implementing the growth strategy:

  • Leading and supporting the master franchisee to maximize sales, customer satisfaction and to ensure the right organization
  • Strengthening the brand and grow traffic in stores
  • Increase franchisee and master franchisee EBIT
  • Expand the store network in Thailand/Asia

What does it take to be a part of Kvik?

  • You are a skilled Retail Store Management profile with a minimum of 3-4 years leadership experience with B2C sales
  • You will ideally come from the kitchen industry or an adjacent franchise driven retail organization
  • Experience with franchise organizations - combined with a good understanding of retail business dynamics, both at store level and strategic level
  • You have proven results with growing profitable retail business units, driving change and conducting turnaround projects
  • You are IT literate - knowledge of Navision or other ERP tools is a plus
  • You have experience from leading a matrix organization and in an international environment (a plus)

  • Last but not least, you hold a commercial education, e.g. HA, HD or similar
  • You could come from a role as Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, Regional Manager or similar in a consumer-related retail company

The job is a full-time position and the preferred workplace is in Vildbjerg. Travel in all new markets and Asia must be expected. We offer an attractive salary, bonus, company car and pension scheme. You will report to the International Market Development Director and will be part of our chain- and master franchise team, also consisting of the Construction Manager, Retail Consultants, Coordinators and Craftsmen.
