The Role
We are looking for a motivated and engaged Terminal Insurance Specialist to work in the Risk Management team. The team consists of five skilled and dedicated colleagues who work with insurance and underwriting in a dynamic, and professionally challenging environment. We are a busy team, but we always find time to laugh together.
As a Terminal Insurance Specialist, you will have a key role in advising the business on insurance for property, liability, construction, and cargo risk. You will maintain and manage insurance related data and documentation, maintain, and establish processes, work with risk assessments and quantification as well as maintaining active relations to the business, insurers, and brokers.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising the terminal business on Property, Business Interruption, Terminal Operator Liability, Construction All Risk, Cargo, and other relevant insurance covers
- Placement of insurance
- Collect and present risk information
- Prepare premium allocation
- Prepare risk submissions for new or changing risks for presentation to the captive, Maersk Insurance A/S and reinsurers
- Explain insurance coverage, costs, and documentation to country insurance focal points
- Responsibility to build a new asset valuation model
- Review and advice on insurance cover relating to contracts with suppliers and customers
- Participation in insurance renewal meetings
- Follow-up with fronting carrier to ensure documentation and invoices issued as agreed
- Working with Insurtech to digitalize processes
What are we looking for?
- Experience from a position in an insurance company, insurance broker or a risk management department of a global company - experience with property insurance is a plus
- Engaged and structured personality
- Proficiency in English both written and orally
- Ability to work with and connect with people from various cultures
- A person prepared to learn and who thrive with new tasks
- Able to handle pressure and not afraid to speak up
- A team player
- A good sense of humor
- Flexibility
- Excellent communications skills
- Good IT-skills
