We are looking for Event Adjudication Professionals to join our Event Adjudication department in a permanent position and in a maternity cover.

About the department
The Event Adjudication department consists of 23 highly engaged team members from various academic backgrounds; who work in a fast-paced environment reflecting increasing demands from numerous long-term clinical trials and regulatory authority requirements. In an increasing number of trials, certain clinical adverse events are required to be adjudicated. Event adjudication is a process where an independent review board of medical specialists assesses the relevant events for fulfilment of pre-defined clinical criteria.The Event Adjudication department belongs to Safety Operations, one of the functional areas in Global Safety and the department is situated in Bagsværd.

The job
As an Event Adjudication Professional you will be a driving factor between Safety Operations, different stakeholders in Global Development e.g. Medical & Science, Data Management & Trial Management and external service providers (CROs) dealing with event adjudication in selected clinical development projects. You will be involved in setting up and ensuring processes for event adjudication on clinical trials in close cooperation with the internal and external stakeholders. Project management, CRO oversight, on-going event tracking, process document preparation, and creating and communicating reports are examples of what this dynamic role comprises of. The role varies according to the life of a clinical trial with regard to pace and task type. Event adjudication is a data driven process that extends across a multitude of both internal and external IT systems. In addition, we use business intelligence tools for visualising data in order to maintain oversight of the process. This means that using and providing input to the set-up of IT systems can also be an integral part of the role.

Qualifications
You hold a university degree (e.g. pharmacy, veterinary, biology) or equivalent. Knowledge of clinical development methodology is a prerequisite and experience in event adjudication, clinical trial conduct, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and project management is an advantage. Prior experience working with data driven processes or business intelligence tools will also be considered an advantage, but not a must, the right approach and mindset is more important as you will receive training in all relevant systems.The job requires proficiency in English, in addition to high communication-, coordination and planning capacities and a strong quality mind-set. You are highly skilled in the Microsoft Office Package. You are proactive and like to work independently, as well as in a team. You have excellent cooperative skills and a high degree of flexibility.
