General Summary & Overall Challenges
We are looking for a new colleague to take over a key role as LEAN Leader within Radiometer Research & Development (R&D). As Global R&D’s LEAN Leader, you are responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) at Radiometer’s R&D entities worldwide, allowing those to meet their Policy Deployment and Key Performance Indicator targets. Together with Global R&D top management, the LEAN Leader is responsible for setting the strategic direction for LEAN deployment within R&D. Furthermore, the LEAN Leader will customize, promote, and deploy selected DBS LEAN tools to drive continuous improvement of all relevant processes across R&D. In doing so, the LEAN Leader will benefit from close collaboration with Danaher’s DBS Office as well as DBS-tool practitioners anchored in functional areas or sites belonging to R&D. Your background and experience are probably from R&D or Operations within the Medical Devices industry. You find this position attractive because it offers a unique opportunity to work across all Radiometer’s product platforms and to optimize key processes leading to our world-class diagnostic equipment. As LEAN Leader, you are part of the R&D department located at Radiometer’s headquarters in Brønshøj, Denmark. However, you work together with a wide range of stakeholders within R&D, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Sales, Services, Marketing and HR both in Denmark and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive improvement in technology development, product development and product sustaining.
  • Facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes across Global R&D, and apply LEAN tools to eliminate them.
  • Ensure successful kaizen events
  • Provide DBS LEAN tool training to R&D associates worldwide

Requirements for this position
Formal Education
• Master or Bachelor in Technical area, e.g., Engineering, Science, Pharmacy or similar.

“Must Have” Competencies / Skills / Experience
• Demonstrated proficiency applying LEAN principles within R&D, Operations or similar.
• Superior communication, training, consulting, coaching and group facilitation skills.
• Many years practitioner experience with product development, technology development or product maintenance preferably within the medical devices industry.
• Multi-disciplinary R&D skills (hardware, software, optical, chemical, mechanical, systems).
• Independent worker with positive attitude, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment, and able to effectively deal with difficult situations and conflicts.
• Ability to work and influence all levels of the organization from senior leaders, functional leaders to project managers and practitioners in all functional areas.
• High trustworthiness and followership, and willing to go the extra mile, do what it takes.

Language
• High English proficiency.
• Danish proficiency preferred.

IT
• MS Office, MS Project, Virtual team collaboration tools, Documentation management systems, Requirement management systems.

Travel
Expect 5-10% of your time for travel activities
