Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet) and University of Copenhagen.
The Danish Headache Center at Rigshospitalet is inviting applications for a 2-year Postdoc position in molecular biomedicine with a focus on understanding effects of mild analgesics. The position is starting as soon as possible. It is primarily an experimental research position and the successful applicant will become part of a project focusing on understanding the mechanisms behind mild analgesics using CRISPR/Cas technology and primary cells in collaboration with University of Copenhagen and Inserm (France).
The central focus of the research involved is to understand mechanisms underlying mechanisms of off-targets effects of over-the-counter mild analgesics like paracetamol and ibuprofen. These compounds are now known to be powerful disruptors of human homeostasis in both during development and in adult life. The group employs a broad palette of techniques and strategies with a central focus on human experimental work and molecular cell biology. The successful applicant is expected to integrate fully our with research teams and participate in both in vitro and in vivo work. The position requires a person that can carry out research experiments and projects independently, but function well in a dynamic and collaborative environment with support from both colleagues and supervisors.
Responsibilities and tasks

• Independently carry out defined research projects.
• Communicate research results: presenting data at staff meetings and national and international conferences, and manuscripts for publication.
• Work in close collaboration with technical research staff and students.
• Contribute to the general work carried out by the group as a unit, including discussions and planning of strategies and projects.
Qualifications
We seek a candidate that is capable of working independently, but that is motivated by both personal and team accomplishments.
