A position as Associate Professor (50% time) is vacant at the Department of Regional Health Research (IRS), Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, South Jutland, Mental Health Services in the Region of Southern Denmark. The position is limited to 5 years with the possibility of extension. Commencement by agreement.
The academic position
The job involves research, professional development, research education, teaching, including exams, supervision and assessment work within the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, developmental psychology and clinical psychology. The associate professorship includes organisation and management of randomised clinical studies focusing on non-pharmacological treatment of ADHD and the effects of parent training in the child psychiatry.
Expectations and qualifications
In order to be considered for the associate professorship the applicant must be employed as a psychologist at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, South Jutland. Additionally, the successful applicant must have documented research and teaching experience within the areas of randomized controlled studies inside the field of child psychology, especially within ADHD and parent training.
Good interpersonal skills are necessary as the associate professor is expected to develop research in the above-mentioned fields both interdisciplinary, nationally, and internationally. Current international collaboration is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Excellent Danish language skills, orally as well as written, are a requirement, as the job involves various communicative tasks in relation to patients.
Potential applicants must be qualified at the level of associate professor according to the Ministerial Order on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities.

- A PhD degree or equivalent post-graduate research qualification
- Relevant research experience documented by publications in international peer-reviewed journals
- Relevant clinical experience
