The Department of molecular medicine at SDU is looking for applicants for a PhD scholarship within the field of Prediction of treatment response or nutrition recommendations for patients with chronic inflammatory diseases.
We are looking for a person with a relevant degree (MD, MSc. etc.)
This declaration of interest comprises a PhD scholarship covering 6 – 8 month of payment for a PhD study related to the Danish part of the EU project SYSCID. The recipient of this scholarship must have secured financing of two years’ salary.
Research environment
You will member of a small, ambitious research team with various backgrounds (molecular biology, doctor, nurse, health research). You will be in close contact with other Ph.D. students.
Project description
The PhD study must based on the BELIEVE cohort, which include more than 200 patients with chronic inflammatory diseases, who have received TNFi treatment. Blood and stool samples from all CID patients and intestinal biopsies from patients with inflammatory bowel disease were collected before TNFi treatment, and treatment effect was evaluated 14-16 weeks after treatment initiation.
Qualifications
The applicant must speak fluent Danish, because most of the work will be performed in close collaboration with hospital staff.

The terms of employment as a salaried PhD Research Fellow are stated in the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
