Broad reach from Early Drug Discovery to Early Drug Development. 

As a DMPK Scientist, your focus will be on evaluating peptide candidates in a range of in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo assays spanning from early drug discovery to First In Human (FIH) studies.

You will be part of the bioanalysis team, currently consisting of 3 scientists and 2 laboratory technicians, within the Drug Profiling department.

You will unfold your skills as part of project teams alongside specialist colleagues in computational drug discovery, peptide chemistry, molecular pharmacology, drug profiling, formulation and in vivo pharmacology. This also covers your close collaboration with your dedicated laboratory technician colleagues who are eager to continuously improve our workflows.  

Your primary tasks will include: 

  • Serving as DMPK lead in drug discovery projects
  • Apply PK/PD modelling and simulations to guide project decisions.
  • Shaping and developing Gubra’s peptide DMPK workflow
  • Designing, developing, optimizing and analyzing in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo ADME & PK/PD studies
  • Communicating results and discussing new findings
  • Collaborating with laboratory technicians to conduct LCMS-based bioanalysis

PhD within pharmaceutical sciences and industry DMPK experience 

As you will be part of an organization whose success rests on knowledge sharing and cross-organizational collaboration, you must be comfortable sharing your early-stage ideas as well as receiving and providing constructive feedback. Equally important is your ability to thrive in an ever-evolving organization, where new strategies, new technologies, new ways of working are part of daily life at Gubra. Additionally, your resume comprises:  

  • PhD with 5+ years’ experience within DMPK 
  • Hands-on experience with PK/PD modelling using Phoenix, R, NONMEM or similar
  • Hands-on experience with LCMS based bioanalysis & data analysis
  • Experience with in vitro and ex vivo DMPK assays, such as plasma stability  
  • Experience with preclinical translation and FIH dose setting
  • Motivation to integrate AI and ML into the workflow – prior AI/ML experience is a plus but not required 
  • An innovative and collaborative mindset
