The Center for Social Data Science (SODAS) and the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen, invite applications for a position as assistant professor in sociology and social data science. It is a four-year temporary position, available from September 1st 2020. SODAS was established in 2016 and is an interdisciplinary research and education center working at the intersection of social science and data science.
Qualifications
To be qualified for the position the applicant must have a PhD in sociology or equivalent academic qualifications with a documented background in teaching, supervision and research within social data science.
SODAS and the Department of Sociology share an active focus on the intersection between data science and sociology. The new assistant professor is expected to contribute actively to the advancement of this environment. We are, in particular, looking for candidates with research and teaching experience in one or more of the following:

General duties attached to the position as Assistant Professor are:

Conditions of employment
Terms of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The annual salary as Assistant Professor is within the range DKK DKK 415,500 – 437,800 (EUR 55,700 – 58,700 app.). In addition to the salary paid directly, the University will also pay a monthly contribution to the pension fund corresponding to 17.1 % of the salary. Negotiation for additional supplements will be possible. A special tax scheme is offered to researchers recruited from abroad, see: http://tp://ism.ku.dk/onarrival/taxes/
