Declaration of interest regarding PhD project
The National Institute of Public Health at SDU is looking for applicants for a PhD scholarship within the field of alcohol, mental health and risk groups in adolescents. We are looking for a candidate with a relevant background in e.g. public health, medicine, economics or psychology.
Project description
The PhD-project will use data from a longitudinal study in Danish adolescents, combining a variety of data sources, drawing especially on the Danish national health and social registries. Epidemiological and advanced statistical methods will be used.
Research environment
The PhD student will be part of the research group Epidemiology and Interventions, situated at the National Institute of Public Health in central Copenhagen. The research environment is characterized by highly skilled and committed colleagues with different research and educational backgrounds and a pleasant work atmosphere.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with strong flair for quantitative methods and a high interest in epidemiology and adolescent health. Specific experience with statistical modelling is prerequisite and preferably, the candidate has some published work or documented experience with scientific writing in English. We value personal competencies such as good communication skills, a positive and problem-solving mindset and personal drive.

The terms of employment as a salaried PhD Research Fellow are stated in the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
