Adcendo ApS is a Copenhagen-based biotech company dedicated to developing highly differentiated antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for treatment of cancer indications with significant unmet needs. Through our focus on science, research and patients, we aim to become a leading biotech company, discovering, developing and commercializing breakthrough therapies in hard-to-treat cancers.
The company was founded in 2017 as a spin-out from The Finsen Laboratory of The University of Copenhagen and Rigshospitalet, and has been part of Bioinnovation Institutes Creation House program.
We recently closed a €51m series A financing round, and welcomed Michael Pehl, formerly CEO of GEMoaB & Immunomedics and President of Hematology & Oncology at Celgene, as our new CEO.
As part of our expansion efforts, Adcendo is seeking a Scientist to join our team, with a collaborative, scientifically and intellectually curious mindset.
You will be part of a fast-paced biotech company, currently undergoing significant transformation and expansion, aiming to become a clinical-stage biotech company within a few years.
You will be a key scientific contributor, with hands-on activities within different areas of discovery and translational research within the world of antibody-drug conjugates, reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO).
In close cooperation with the CDO, and the rest of the scientific team, you will plan and conduct key experiments, and will be responsible for designing, analysing and reporting of experimental studies, method development and validation. You will also be responsible for thorough documentation and evaluation of any experimental work, and for representing Adcendo scientifically by aiding in efforts towards publishing and presenting relevant study results.

Primary responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on scientific support for all workstreams.
- Designing preclinical experiments and translation of development plans into scientifically valid experimental study designs, related to key areas of responsibility.
- Thorough analysis and interpretation of preclinical data.
- Report data and results for studies through internal/external presentations, reviews, abstracts, and publications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- PhD in life sciences (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Immunology or similar) with proven experience and publication track record.
- At least 5 years of relevant scientific experience.
- A high level of hands-on expertise in flow cytometry-based analyses will be a plus.
- A high level of hands-on expertise in microscopy-based analyses will be a plus.
- Experience from working with a focus on cancer / tumor biology will be a plus.
- Flexible mindset, and an ability to prioritize and adjust day to day workload based on company needs, goals and values.
- Decisive experimental planning to achieve accurate and reliable scientific data and results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in teams.
