København N
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic postdoc starting from 1 january 2025. The postdoc will be dedicated to understanding allergic immunity at a fundamental level.
Information on the department can be found at: https://sic.ku.dk/research/
Our research
The Allergic Inflammation group at the Leo Foundation Skin Immunology Research Centre within ISIM is led by Jonathan Coquet. Our interests revolve around understanding the fundamentals of allergic inflammation. Core questions for our group include: What makes inflammatory allergic responses pathogenic? What are triggers for allergic inflammation? How do environmental and genetic factors combine to mediate allergy? To explore these questions, we utilise mouse models of allergy and infection and combine them with understanding allergic inflammation in human tissues. We use single cell RNA-Sequencing and next-generation sequencing to probe cell phenotypes, cell identities, clonality of T and B cell responses and pathways for cellular differentiation in human and mouse. We have close ties to the BIOSKIN biobank at Gentofte hospital, with whom we analyse lymphocyte and stromal phenotypes in inflammatory skin diseases. The team is diverse and participates in interdisciplinary work with national and international collaborators.
Your job
You should be a critical thinker and be able to drive experiments and projects forward with a great degree of independence. You should also be adept in working in team environments. Specific scientific expertise in the following areas would be highly recommended: CITE-seq, single cell T cell clonal profiling, RNA velocity, ATAC-seq. You would be required to execute all/most of these aforementioned tasks during the course of this project. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to complete projects and present your work to an audience through conference participation and other avenues.
