The Niels Bohr International Academy, Niels Bohr Institute, Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen offers up to two postdoc positions in Particle Astrophysics. For one of the positions, we seek candidates with expertise in the modeling of the gamma-ray emission from starburst galaxies and supernovae, as well as r-process signatures from neutron star mergers. For the other position, we seek candidates with expertise in testing fundamental neutrino physics, both in and beyond the Standard Model, using high-energy and ultra-high energy neutrinos, and with experience connecting theoretical predictions to experimental observations.
The Niels Bohr International Academy is a young initiative committed to fostering the traditions of internationalism, interdisciplinarity and excellence in physics, which characterize the Niels Bohr Institute. It functions as a primary center for fundamental research including theoretical and computational astrophysics, cosmology, high energy particle physics, particle astrophysics, condensed matter physics, quantum optics, and biophysics.
The postdoc’s duties will include research within Particle Astrophysics. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.435 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.801). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
