The experimental biophysics group at the Niels Bohr Institute constitutes several postdocs and phd students and a number of master students who carry out research in diverse areas of biophysics. The focus is physics of the cell surface including membrane biophysics and biomechanics of the cell surface. Project
The primary project is to investigate the lateral organization of GPCR in plasma membranes. Also, mechanosensing aspects of GPCRs will be a topic. The work will be in close collaboration with collaborators at Nanoscience and Biology at UCPH.The ideal candidate should have experience in thermoplasmonics, confocal imaging, optical trapping, cell culturing and Matlab based data treatment. Also, experimental experience with membrane proteins is highly appreciated. Interdisciplinary collaborative skills are also important.Writing scientific articles and disseminating research at conferences/workshops requires the candidate to have excellent English skills.

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State. The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 358,240 including annual supplement (+ 17.1 % pension) Negotiation for salary supplement is possible
