CEBI is a Center of Excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. CEBI provides cutting-edge research on the role of economic behavior for differences in income, wealth, health and many other outcomes. The focus is on empirical research often exploiting the globally unique Danish data research infrastructure that enables CEBI members to combine various population administrative registers on individuals’ background, choices and outcomes, and also to combine these data with information about behavioral characteristics of individuals obtained from large-scale controlled experiments and surveys.

CEBI combines several fields and methods: Microeconometrics, Experimental and Survey Methods, Structural Modelling, Public Economics, Labor Economics, Health Economics, Consumption Theory, Household Finance, Political Economics.

The current group includes 14 senior researchers, 13 junior researchers, 10 PhD students and 10 external members from NYU, Pompeu Fabra, Princeton and Zürich.

CEBI is looking for an excellent candidate with a strong background in some of the above-mentioned research fields. The position will have a duration of up to two years with the possibility of one year extension. Employment is expected to begin as soon as possible but no later than 1st of January 2022.

Qualifications
Employment as Post Doc at the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, requires a PhD degree in Economics.

Salary and conditions of employment
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The basic annual salary for postdoctoral researchers is in the range DKK 418.700 – 440.900 (about EUR 54,300 – 59,200). In addition to the salary paid directly to you, the university will also pay a monthly contribution to your pension fund corresponding to 17.1 % of your salary. Negotiation for additional supplements will be possible. Foreigners are potentially eligible for a special tax scheme for international researchers, see http://ism.ku.dk/onarrival/taxes/

2) curriculum vitae, including list of publications/working papers

3) diplomas – all relevant certificates

4) publications/working papers to be considered in the assessment (max. 5)

The parts must be clearly labeled with the above-mentioned numbers.

Applications will be assessed based on these mandatory enclosures. Please note that no further enclosures will be considered. Applications that do not meet the requirements listed above will not be taken into consideration.

The deadline for applications including enclosures is September 1 (at Midnight 23:59 Danish Time). Applicants are notified about the final decision before October 1.

Formal application procedure
After the expiry of the deadline for applications, the authorized recruitment manager selects applicants for assessment on the advice of the Appointments Committee. All applicants are then immediately notified whether their application has been passed for assessment by an expert assessment committee. Selected applicants are notified of the composition of the committee and each applicant has the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that relates to the applicant him/herself.
