A two-year position as post doc in Public-Private Innovation and Sustainable Development is available at the Department of Entrepreneurship and Relationship Management, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Kolding. The position is available from 1 January 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The Department of Entrepreneurship and Relationship Management (IER) is a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment, where the abilities to form relationships and to work within teams are a historical and fundamental part of the department culture. The department has activities in Kolding, Sønderborg and Slagelse with approx. 75 employees engaged in research and teaching in the fields of design management, entrepreneurship, B2B marketing, supply chain management and business networks, and organization studies.
Within the department, the post doc will be affiliated with the Entrepreneurship and Organization research group, which is among the leading research groups in this area in Northern Europe. The research group focuses on four general themes: Nascent entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship, SME management and growth, and design and entrepreneurship. The position is within an externally funded project related to public-private innovation and the UN sustainable development goals. The post doc will be required to design and conduct qualitative research based on in-depth interviews, to code and analyze the data and to present the findings in scientific outlets as well as to communicate to a practitioner audience. The research will be done in close collaboration with the three senior researchers in the project.
It is a requirement for the position that the candidate has a PhD degree within business administration or business economics, and experience with designing and conducting qualitative research within the broad fields of innovation, organization, management or public management. Danish language skills and a general understanding of the industrial structure in Denmark are an advantage but not a requirement for the position.
The applicant should possess good interpersonal skills and be willing to engage in and contribute to the everyday academic and social environment at the department. The post doc position is a research position, but some teaching may also be part of the work load.

Appointment to the position requires a PhD or equivalent and will be in accordance with the salary agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
The University determines the distribution of the various assignments. The weighting of the different assignments may vary over time.
Upgrading of pedagogical qualifications is not a part of this position. Employment as Post doc alone will thus not qualify to appointment as Associate Professor/Senior Researcher.

Within a three-year period, applicants with no current Danish skills must master the language at a level which enables them to read Danish exam papers and administrative documents.
