We are looking for a skilled scientist with a deep passion for innovation and studying biocatalytic systems comprising immobilized enzymes. The postdoc position is part of a new international project where you will be working closely together with internal and external collaborators developing and studying prototypes of immobilized enzymes for applications within sustainable manufacturing. The work will include, e.g., purifying and characterizing enzymes, establishing immobilization procedures, as well as designing, making and characterizing lab scale prototypes of immobilized enzymes. This will be done in collaboration with expert scientists and technicians in the department and as well as colleagues in our formulation department.

  • Theoretical knowledge and experimental experience working with enzymes, including enzyme purification, activity assays, chromatography, and general protein characterization (i.e., studying, e.g., protein post-translational modifications, stability, solubility or enzyme-substrate interactions)

  • Experience from working with enzyme immobilization and biocatalysis is an advantage but not a requirement

  • Experience with fluorescence microscopy and surface sensitive techniques is an advantage but not a requirement

  • Strong communication skills and ability to conclude and share own results in oral as well as in written form

  • Excellent collaboration skills with a positive attitude and a desire to achieve results together with others with a holistic mindset
