A scientist position is open for 2 years temporary employment in Department of Early Toxicology and Safety Pharmacology.
We are looking for a curious scientist with a drive to learn (more) about early drug development and non-clinical safety assessment. Could that be you?
About the department
We are currently 10 experienced scientists in the department, but we need more hands to support our growing and exiting project portfolio. Our key task is to progress our development projects towards the first clinical trials by performing the critical non-clinical safety studies. We have a long track record in running toxicology and safety pharmacology studies outsourced at Contract Research Organizations (CROs). Our main focus areas are human safety, high quality science, animal welfare and project timelines.
About the job
After relevant training you will be supporting our key deliverables; study planning, study conduct as well as study reporting. This will be done in close collaboration with experienced sponsor monitors, study directors at the CROs and other key stakeholders. Based on the collected project study data you will be supporting the crucial safety assessment in your project team advancing the drug candidate towards the first clinical trials.
Qualifications
You have a relevant background in biological sciences with experience in experimental work. As a person you have a scientific mind-set, you are a team player, you have focus on quality and structure, you are energetic, and you take responsibility - but most importantly, you are eager to learn. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken and have good communication/presentation skills.
Interest in IT solutions (scientific tools for data exploration, big data, machine learning, etc.) would be an advantage as we currently invest in digital solutions. Hopefully this sounds like an interesting opportunity for you and if so, we are curious to learn more about you.
