An exciting job for an experienced analytical Coordinator is available in CMC Oral Analytical Development, a highly exciting and dynamic R&D area, where we develop and produce oral drug products of peptides and proteins for pre-clinical and clinical studies. Novo Nordisk is pioneering this field within diabetes with the leading oral GLP-1 projects. About the department
The department Oral Analytical Development is part of the area Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Oral Protein Formulation (OPF) in the R&D organisation. The two analytical teams employ around 50 highly skilled and experienced analytical scientists and technicians who are responsible for analytical activities in relation to the oral drug product portfolio. We have a strong focus on scientific skills with a social and engaging atmosphere.

The position
You will lead and coordinate all analytical and characterisation activities and strategies for drug substance and drug product through the different stages of clinical development, from Lead Candidate Selection to final regulatory approval. Activities can be performed in our laboratories or be outsourced to a Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO).

As analytical coordinator you will be a member of the CMC core project team and you will lead your analytical sub-project team in an engaging and motivating way aligning the needs of the project organisation with those of line of business. Close collaboration with the line management of the departments is vital in order to ensure the most optimal planning and execution of project targets. The position will also give you the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders within and outside CMC Development and coordinate transfer of project activities from our research unit to CMC Development and further on to the Product Supply organisation.

More detailed responsibilities include; Breakdown of project key deliverables to department activities in our primary project planning system. Plan the timing of department activities together with team leaders, team members and other project coordinators. Clearly and timely communicate project requirements to team and department members. Prepare and coordinate regulatory documentation according to international guidelines.

Qualifications
You hold an M.Sc. in Chemistry, Pharmacy or another relevant field within natural sciences. Your degree is supplemented with minimum 2-4 years of experience in managing analytical activities covering early phase to late phase clinical development. Scientific experience within analytical development is a must for the candidate. Experience with small molecules, transfer of analytical methods, and collaboration with CMOs is a great advantage for the candidate.
