The Research Unit for Active Living, Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, invites applications for a position as assistant professor within the area of human movement and active living research to be filled for the period 1st June 2020 or soon hereafter until 31st December 2022.
The position aims to strengthen ongoing activities at the Research Unit for Active Living. The applicant will mainly be involved in ongoing research projects with focus on physical activity behavior. The successful applicant is expected to conduct and publish internationally competitive research in the field of human movement behavior and active living research.
The successful applicant will be expected to conduct and manage teaching from under-graduate to post-graduate level in subjects related to physical activity. It will also be expected that the applicant has pedagogical experiences in supervising bachelor and master thesis students.
The applicant must have a PhD degree and experience with publication at an international level. To qualify for the appointment as assistant professor, candidates must demonstrate both scientific and pedagogical competence within the subject field. Experiences with research funding and administrative and other skills that are relevant to subject specialization will be expected as well as abilities in written and spoken English.

The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

Danish is not required initially however, must be mastered within the first two years of employment. In cooperation with the language centre “Lærdansk”, SDU offers specialised language courses.
