Clinical professor in Dermatology and Allergy (combined position)

A permanent combined position as clinical professor and consultant in Dermatology and Allergy is vacant at the Research Unit of Dermatovenerology and Allergy Centre, Department of Clinical Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark and Odense University Hospital, respectively.
The time is allocated with 50% to university (professor) and 50% to clinical (consultant) duties. The posts are considered as one entity.
Qualifications
The applicant must be qualified as a consultant in Dermatology and as a clinical physician with special interest and documented experience in atopic dermatitis and anaphylaxis.
Furthermore, the applicant will be expected to have experience within the areas of contact allergy, urticaria and angioedema, food allergy, mastocytosis, and drug hypersensitivity.
In addition to this, collaboration with authorities as well as an understanding of and experience with the clinical environment in a hospital department will be expected.
The applicant must be well qualified with a strong research profile in the areas mentioned above. Commitment to teaching and the ability to lead a research group, including experience with obtaining funding and with supervision of master’s students, PhD students and postdocs will be required.
Emphasis will be on the applicants’ ability to document original scientific production at an international level within the area of dermatological allergology.

Salary and terms of employment
The successful applicant for the clinical professor position will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

- a teaching portfolio detailing the candidate’s prior teaching experience, teaching skills, and teaching philosophy
- a track record in obtaining research funding
- as to the post as consultant: information on the applicant’s own skills as concerns "the seven roles of the physician" inclusive of supporting evidence
- a research plan detailing the candidate’s ideas and plans for her/his future research work
