Department of Green Technology at The University of Southern Denmark in Odense seeks to recruit Professors and/or Associate and/or Assistant Professors with a strong process design, biomass/waste valorisation, natural product chemistry and/or analytical chemistry background.
The research environment
Through the department’s research, innovation and study programmes the department will contribute to development of sustainable solutions, processes and technologies for the future society and the improvement of climate, environment and human health. The department develops green engineering solutions within the domains of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Life Cycle Engineering.

We expect
You have a PhD in a chemical engineering, biotechnology or closely related discipline relevant to this position. A successful candidate will drive internationally competitive research, collaborate with the world scientific as well as commercial community in the field chemical engineering with focus on green transition. You have achieved external funding success commensurate with the targeted rank (professor, associate or assistant professor) within the Green Transition area.

Conditions of employment
The candidate should have a PhD degree within the mentioned research area.
The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Please check links for more information on salary and taxation.
Employment as Associate Professor or Professor is a permanent position. Employment as an assistant professor is a 3-year position.
The starting date will be agreed with the successful candidate.
