A position as postdoc is available as soon as possible at the Research Unit of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Biodemography, Department of Public Health, Odense, Denmark. The position runs for a period of 2 years and may be extended.
Job description
Epidemiological research with focus on human development and aging using genetic-epidemiological methods. The applicant will work in a team of epidemiologists, geneticists, mathematicians, biodemographers, and biostatisticians.
Required qualifications
The applicant must have a master’s degree in Epidemiology, Genetics, Statistics, Public Health or the like. The applicant must have experience in statistical processing of large data sets including knowledge of STATA, SAS etc.
Experience with R would be an advantage. We would like to emphasize the importance of knowledge of and experience in epidemiological analyses and statistical analysis of register data.
Other requirements
Furthermore, the applicant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be fluent in written and spoken Danish and English, enjoy multitasking, be able to handle and create structure and overview in many different projects at the same time.
