The Department of Molecular Medicine (IMM), Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark invites expressions of interest for a prequalification round for the forthcoming submission to the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF).
We offer a uniquely ambitious research and training environment for these particular fellowships, and, for the successful candidates, we will match you with a high-profile researcher from the Department of Molecular Medicine and together you will apply for a MSCA PF. Successful applicants will be able to start their fellowship as from April 2022.
The Research Support Office at the Faculty of Health Sciences will assist hosts and candidates with all aspects of the application process and the University of Southern Denmark moreover offers a 3-day Master Class focussed on developing strong and highly qualified proposals.
Research profile and tasks
The successful candidate holds a PhD-degree in biomedical or pharmaceutical sciences and must have demonstrated significant research through publications that allow competition for a MSCA PF. Eligible applicants may not have resided in Denmark more than 12 months in the past 3 years prior to September 15, 2021. Applicants with research interests that complement the on-going research within one of the three research units below will be preferred.
The Department of Molecular Medicine is composed of three research units: Cardiovascular and Renal Research, Cancer and Inflammation Research , Neurobiology Research In addition to this we house the Biomedical Laboratory. Within the framework of these three units, the department disseminates knowledge about the function of the human body and disease mechanisms and thus contributes to the improvement of human health. The research is carried out at a high international level with a translational perspective and focuses on conditions of the brain, immune system, circulatory system, kidney and cancer. Special strengths include the development of biological drugs, especially antibody-based drugs, precision medicine in cancer and inflammatory diseases and mechanisms that lead to neurodegenerative diseases as well as to kidney diseases and high blood pressure.

In the event of a successful MSCA PF application appointment will take place according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations, AC as well as the conditions set out in the Horizon Europe Model Grant Agreement

- A motivation letter stating the interest, motivation and qualifications for the project (max. 2 pages) - upload under “Application form”
- A detailed CV, including personal contact information
- Certified copy of diplomas (inclusive of Ph.D diploma)
Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will neither be considered nor evaluated. This also applies to reference letters.
