The Neurobiology Research Unit, Department of Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), invites applications for a part-time (20%) position as professor in translational neurobiology. The position is vacant from November 1, 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Teaching commitments
The main task for the new professor will be teaching of medical students at the Faculty of Health Sciences. This will include lectures, formulating and assessing exams in medical neuroanatomy and neurobiology. The candidate may also mentor, supervise, and support graduate and PhD students, pursuing their Master’s and PhD degrees.
Teaching qualifications
The candidate will be expected to possess teaching qualifications corresponding to those obtained as an associate professor.
Research qualifications
The successful candidate must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent in biological sciences, must have proven significant teaching and supervising experience and ideally should also have demonstrated significant research through publications. Applicants with research and teaching interests that complement those on-going within the department will be preferred.
