Become a part of the User Experience and User Interface Design team
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of intelligent metering solutions. Therefore, we are looking for a UX/UI Design Researcher, who can drive and support the organization in taking design research and user insights to the next level.
With a direct reference to Head of UX and UI Design, you will become part of the UX and UI department, currently consisting of 9 colleagues. We work closely in agile teams across the Kamstrup software product portfolio to create impactful, consistent and intuitive user experiences. We believe that our end users and customers have valuable insights that will help us continuously to produce a better product and user experience. This is why we involve our customers early in the development process, and through mockups, workshops and co-creation sessions iteratively learn how we can make them successful in doing their jobs and solving their problems.
A job with focus on user research, service design and facilitation
In the newly established role as UX/UI Design Researcher, your primary job will be to help increase the user experience quality of the Kamstrup software platforms, by identifying our customers pains and possible solutions. However, the role also covers other domains such as our service and embedded software solutions where you be working with the design diamond discovery phase activities. Therefore, you will work closely with both product management, engineering teams and UI/UX specialists to plan and gather data, assess behavioral data from existing solutions and triangulate this with qualitative research and disseminate your findings to relevant projects and stakeholders.

In addition, it will be an advantage if you have experience with Dual Track development.

You consider yourself an excellent collaborator who manages to build relationships with stakeholders across disciplines and domains, and you are not afraid of facilitating workshops with internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you are a good communicator and can translate complex data into easy-to-understand information. In addition, it is essential that you are proactive, analytical and solution oriented in your work, and you are always looking for optimization opportunities and dare to challenge status quo.
Finally, it is a requirement that you both speak and write English fluently.

- Design and facilitate user involvement activities (prototype evaluations, design sprints, foundational studies, etc.)
- Gather and analyze data, and identify UX and UI issues and gaps
- Define and drive adoption of user centric activities into the organization
- Determine UX/UI project-specific metrics that can be measured before, during and after implementation to ensure we are creating the desired end user impact
Personality matters
We imagine that you have a masters in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Design Research, Design Psychology, or similar. In addition it is a requirement that you have:
- +4 years of proven experience in user research
- +2 years of proven experience in service design
- Solid working experience with user test and analytics solutions (such as Google suite, Maze, etc.)
- Agile/Scrum working experience
- Hands on experience with rapid UI and UX prototyping
In addition, it will be an advantage if you have experience with Dual Track development.
