HØIBERG, one of Europe’s leading intellectual property firms, is now seeking two talented and driven individuals to join our Stockholm hightech team as Patent Consultant/Patent Consultant Trainees.

The role of a Patent Consultant at HØIBERG is varied. Our clients range from research-intensive startups to companies with a global presence, for whom we protect inventions and advise on IP strategies that give them a competitive business edge. Client interaction is a regular part of the job, and a candidate for this position should be an efficient communicator with a strong scientific understanding.

A background in patent law is not required, as all legal training will be provided on the job. Therefore, if you are a scientist eager to explore opportunities beyond the laboratory and believe you have the qualities to excel as a patent attorney, we encourage you to apply.

Kontorets adresse i Stockholm og arbejdssted for ansættelsen:

A Working Lab – Innomedicum, Nanna Svartz väg 4, 171 65 Solna, Sweden

The Stockholm office is our most recent office, and it has a dynamic startup atmosphere while being firmly integrated into the well-established structure of HØIBERG. You will become an integral part of a team that's constantly growing and evolving. We expect that you will be enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of our clients' businesses as well as that of HØIBERG.

We are looking for candidates with a university degree in engineering or physics, for example within the fields of biophysics, biomedicine, electronics, nanotechnology, mechanics or computer science. However, we highly value minds equipped with a curiosity for science and technology even outside of your core area of expertise. A PhD degree and/or industrial experience is a merit.

We seek candidates who:
  • Possess a Master’s level or a PhD degree in engineering or physics, for example within the fields of biophysics, biomedicine, electronics, nanotechnology, mechanics or computer science
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to continued professional advancement and growth
  • Thrive in both collaborative team environments and independent work settings
  • Have exceptional proficiency in written and verbal English communication
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with a clear attention to detail

We understand that you may have different competences and qualities than those listed herein, and we encourage you to apply also in the event that you have a different profile. All candidates will be considered for these positions.

We offer an international and flexible work environment with an informal culture, attractive employment benefits, and a competitive salary.

Further, as part of our commitment to your professional development, you will participate in HØIBERG's Patent training Program. We invest heavily in the training and the personal development of our patent consultants in order to produce outstanding patent professionals.

As a Patent Consultant Trainee, you will immediately start assisting clients with protecting their innovations under the supervision of qualified attorneys. You will also be paired with a supervisor and mentor to guide you through the extensive Patent Training Program.

You are expected to work towards qualification as a European Patent Attorney, a process typically taking at least four years. Training and qualifying as a patent attorney demand hard work and dedication. Therefore, we seek candidates committed to personal development.

To apply, please send your application to [email protected] with the subject line "Patent Consultant (Stockholm)" as soon as possible, and no later than 31 May 2024.

Applications must be submitted in English and preferably include copies of your university transcripts.

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so early application is encouraged. The positions are available for commencement in September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

If you want to know more, you are welcome to contact Stefan Holm Nygaard or Charlotta Dahlborg via telephone (+45) 3332 0337.
