København
Do you want to join a dynamic team dedicated to strengthening the role of diaspora organisations in humanitarian settings?
Who are we?
The Diaspora Programme is implemented by DRC’s Civil Society Engagement Unit. DRC engages civil society actors rooted in and/or with direct ties to the Global South, and therefore considers diaspora transnational civil society actors an integral part of the civil society we work with.
Since 2010, Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has been working with diaspora groups as transnational civil society actors. Engagement with diaspora is based on a recognition of the significant role they play for people and communities in countries of origin (or heritage), for refugees and migrants in transit, and for newly arrived refugees and migrants in countries of residence, and, consequently, their potential for improving the situation for many of those affected by conflict and displacement.
About the job
We are looking for two Student Assistants to provide support with admin, finance, logistics, and communication tasks for two projects:
1. Afghan diaspora engagement (ADE), which aims to empower and support the constructive role of transnational Afghan civil society in support of Afghans affected by conflict and displacement.

The job will include support to events, capacity development activities such as training and workshops, as well as technical and financial support to diaspora organization partners. - Other ad-hoc administrative support when required
About you
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have a strong desire to support people affected by conflict and displacement and to be service minded in your way of working. All employees should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence and Demonstrating integrity.
