Field Application Engineer

Hartmanns are looking for a customer focused Field Application Engineer to provide technical support to the sales team and customers

The purpose of this position is to work as a team member to provide the highest level of customer service for our internal and external customers by evaluating customer requirements and providing technical recommendations on existing and new products. The position also maintains existing standard products and implements product range enhancements.

Position Description

• Work with the Sales Team to sell industrial control and pneumatic solutions
• Technical discussions about motors, drives, sizing, programming, and controls technology
• Technical discussions about pneumatic systems
• Provide supportive sales material to win business faster. (ex simplified CAD drawing and Topology (Network/Connectivity) drawings. To get customer on-board our solutions faster)
• Become the “Project leader”/Link between customer technical stakeholders and internal technical dept.
• On-site support and investigations at customers as required

You will report directly to Sales Manager Sweden

To evaluate if you fit as a perfect candidate to Norgren you should be able to recognize some of the following skills,

Professional skills

• 2-3 years of experience within the product area are preferable but not a must
• Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent
• Experience on common PLC types and industrial control networks I/O etc.
• Experience in Control systems, motors and drive functions, sizing, and calculation
• Working or application knowledge (belts, pulleys, gear boxes, couplings, screws, and general mechanical units) or machines
• Experience with Valve Islands and Pneumatic circuit – design and component selection
• Understanding of electrical circuit design
• Can read and understand a mechanical drawing - CAD
• Swedish and English in speaking and writing – if knowledge of Finish, it would be great
• Good knowledge of IT and MS Office
