Power Solutions Applications, Controls & Electrical AEP & Environmental
In joining the Power Systems Integration area, you will have an important role in the organisation within Vestas. As the Power System Integration team, we span across being in very close interaction with the market as well as being involved in various innovation activities with external collaborators while focusing on product development as our main goal. AEP & Environmental, a submodule of the Power System Integration module, is responsible for the design and development of solutions protecting the environment while ensuring optimal production of the power plant. The departments main focus areas are non-mechanical solutions related to: Avian protection (birds and bats), Light pollution (Flickering shadows and Aviation lights), Ice throw/De-icing and Audible Noise emission.
The department currently consists of a mix of Software specialists, architects and developers working from offices in Denmark (Århus), Portugal (Porto) and Poland (Gdansk), and this position is based at the Vestas Technology Center in Århus, Denmark.

Responsibilities
- Translate product level requirements, including legislation and certification needs, to engineering requirements
- Solution design and development through integration of off-the-shelf components and in-house software development
- Ensure that the design complies with architectural strategies, cyber security and product level requirements
- Review and ensure engineering designs together with the specialists in the team and stakeholders in the value chain
- Participate in the creation of customer and sales focused documentation as well as educational material for our service organisation responsible for commissioning and maintenance
- Ensure the quality of all the solutions developed through risk analysis, verification planning and close collaboration with our internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Must hold an Engineering degree (B.Sc. or higher).
- Should have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in system design and product development for industrial use.
- Should be experienced in creating high quality design documentation.
- Should have knowledge of embedded systems, system engineering and industrial protocols.
- Knowledge of software and programming skills would be advantageous as well as an understanding of cyber security for operational technologies
- Should have Technical leadership with the ability to work autonomously to drive solutions
Competencies
- Knowledge of standard system engineering principles
- Experience and/or knowledge about software development methods
- Possess good communication skills and stakeholder management with having confident English skill at a high level
- Delivers high quality results through both others and yourself
- Be a good networker and able to build, develop and maintain relationships in a global environment
- Play well in a team environment and be able to work in a multicultural environment
- Be process-oriented and have a structured way to work
