What we do in the Professional Users Software Team
We develop user-friendly and technically challenging apps for various purposes such as remote control of hearing aids, assistance for hearing loss and for supporting our business. We work with hardware interfaces and cooperate closely with our embedded firmware developers. We use a SCRUM based development method, and work in a cross-functional team with developers, UXD’s, audiologists, testers and graphical designers. The Mobile Application Development team is an international and English-speaking environment distributed among multiple locations.
Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a senior UX designer responsible for the overall tasks and design direction, as well as ensuring an optimal design process for the user experience designers. You will work closely with product managers to qualify and define overall feature and concept development. You will safeguard that good design patterns are observed and that Widex software applications are among the best in the market. You should be happy to work with durable solutions and long-term development cycles.

Your main responsibilities:
- Maturation of concept and feature requests in collaboration with the senior audiologist and the software architect
- Maintain masterplan for developers and designers and participate in roadmap planning
- Run weekly design meetings where you discuss designs and ideas to ensure high quality, user-friendliness, and consistency in our products
- Ensure a high professional level of user experience and usability, within all phases of design
- Be a part of the software management board and participate in planning meetings
- Collaborate with the UXD manager to develop competences and processes in the team
You
- You have a relevant education within UX design, interaction design or similar
- Have 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Have experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and an understanding of design patterns for web and desktop applications
- Have experience in supporting the execution of user-centered design and testing methodologies, such as usability testing.
- Can communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders
- Have a flair for managing several stakeholders in a decision process
- Are comfortable with verbal and written English
